Printing on Cables

Printing on cables and wires requires both a robust printer that can keep up with high speeds and inks that are specially formulated with fast-drying and strong adhesion properties. Contrasting colours are required for dark cables such as yellow, blue or white ink. The Citronix continuous ink jet printer range provides the perfect combination of performance and print quality along with connectivity for your software system.

Alternatively, thermal ink jet printers are increasingly common for industrial applications. With a wide range of solvent inks they offer high resolution print quality in a service-free package.

Suggested Solution

Printing on Formed or Cast Metal

Citronix continuous ink jet printers can produce very high quality print onto a wide variety of metal components including steel, aluminium or stainless steel. From parts marking individual components to repeat printing onto formed or rolled steel tubes, the Citronix ci5200 will be ideal.

Codetronix supply conveyor systems, parts marking tables and bespoke handling systems for difficult to handle products.

Suggested Solution

Plaster, Cement, Adhesive or Compost Bags

A robust printer able to produce high quality print in demanding environments is required when printing onto large paper or plastic sacks and bags. The Citronix ci5200 is ideal for this application with up to 2 lines of print possible. For more printed information, the Citronix ci5300 continuous ink jet printer is available. A wide range of quick drying inks that have great adhesion to paper and plastics make the Citronix continuous ink jet printer the right choice. An IP65 version is also available for extreme environments where high levels of dust or even water may be present.

Suggested Solution

Labelling Large Bags

If you need to label large bags or sacks, our print and apply labellers offer flexibility to label the side, front or the top of bags on flat or incline conveyors. Label sizes such as A5 can be printed with variable information including ingredients, graphics, logos and barcodes.
If you want to apply pre-printed labels, the Intrex range of label applicators will be ideal. These are capable of applying a wide range of label sizes to filled bags and sacks in landscape or portrait orientation including side and top apply.

Glass Industry – Printing on Glass (kite marks)

Coding onto glass using CO2 lasers can replace other methods such as sand blasting or ink stamp methods to give a highly readable, permanently etched code onto glass. Laser coding on glass is affordable and simple to install as minimal guarding around the coding area is required and low powered lasers can be used. Laser coders can be fitted onto horizontal breakout tables or vertical arising machines such as a Lisec machine.

Extrusion and Pipes – Printing on Metal Pipes

Continuous ink jet printers are an ideal solution for printing on metal pipes such as copper. The environment can be hot and dusty with heavy machinery present. The robust ci5200 continuous ink jet printer from Citronix is well-suited to industrial applications. Producing 2 lines of high quality print, the ci5200 can run different colours including black, red or blue. For very harsh environments, the ci5650 with IP65 enclosure will be ideal.

Printing on Extruded Plastic or Rubber Material

Citronix continuous ink jet printers are capable of printing high quality text and barcodes onto plastic or rubber extrusion. Typically extrusion lines run at low speed in hot and often humid environments. The Citronix continuous ink jet printer range is well-suited to these applications and with a wide range of inks designed for printing onto plastics and rubber they are ideal. Barcodes can also be printed at scannable quality. Codetronix can supply all necessary parts including encoders, sensors, printer stands and software connectivity.
